With the regular launcher, we can use the Themes application which has four pre-defined settings; System looks like a regular stock launcher while Lights tries to imitate MIUI:

We will have to work with the Update application when a new and bug-fixed ROM is available. This application works only with the stock recovery manager so if we have a custom recovery flashed, we will have to flash the stock one back before proceeding:
