Unboxing

No changes in the box art, the loyal cardboard box version, with on one side the highlights and specifications. The exploded view can be found on the other side.

A plastic bag and Styrofoam inserts provide ample protection for heavy duty transport:

The left and right side panels are identical twins. Both sporting a large cut-out with meshed grill and dust filter for maximum ventilation and dust protection. The top panel is foreseen with a small window to show off the installed hardware. The bottom part reveals the dust filter for the power supply and the four sturdy plastic feet. With our pre-release sample only the two rear ones were equipped with a rubber insert. The retail versions should include 4 rubber feet.

Alike the Obsidian 750D version, the brushed aluminum front panel is easily removable by pressing the upper two top edges. Thus allowing easy access to the 140mm front fan and dust filter. Corsair has opted to keep the optical drive, something we missed partly when reviewing the Fractal Node 403 mITX case.
