The DS413 NAS from Synology is aimed for the Home to Business Workgroup segment, provides good read/write speeds in most of the applications and features the highly configurable DSM. DSM supports plenty of additional services, accessible from the GUI, like DHCP, VPN, Syslog, Mail, Antivirus, Backup, Cloud Station and more.
A disk check is also possible after the volume is created:
One confirmation screen will be displayed in the end:
The Storage Manager window will show us the newly created volume details:
To be able to use the respective volume, we will also have to create one or multiple shared folders:
For the respective folder, we can also choose detailed options:
The access privileges can be set for each user:
The DSM will show in "My Network Places" as a regular computer, with the shared folder we have just created:
