A Closer Look Part II

The spacing between the PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots is kept from the Extreme4 board version, and we can see several enhancements in the VRM section, number of USB ports, SATA3 connectivity or LAN ports:

This board features 2x PCIE x1 Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s interfaces, with the help of two Reatek RTL8111E controllers; through the most important features, we can enumerate, Wake-On-LAN, LAN Cable Detection, Energy Efficient Ethernet 802.3az or Dual LAN with Teaming function:

The board features not one but three EtronTech EJ168A USB 3.0 controllers; two are located between the VRM and I/O shield connectors and the last one is placed between the last two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, for the Front USB 3.0 header:

The audio interface is provided by the Realtek ALC892 CODEC, which features Premium Blu-ray audio support and also supports THX TruStudio Pro:

The Nuvoton NCT6776F SuperIO chip can be also found on the left side of the PCB:

The Asmedia ASM1083 is a x1 PCI Express to 32-bit PCI Bridge; this controller was installed because the P67 chipset does not support PCI lanes anymore and ASRock gives a chance to people that still have good cards on this interface to continue to use them (TV tuners, audio cards and so on):

The VIA VT6315N is a PCI-Express 1394 Host Controller and can be found near the second PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slot:

With 6 none-affected SATA ports on this board, I'd say this product should be on your shortlist
